7/11/25 - Battles for America: New York and LA Under Siege

Liberty and Learning - Part 10: Celebrating America's Declaration of Independence

In this enlightening episode of Liberty and Learning, Mark Levin engages in a profound discussion with Dr. Larry Arnn, President of Hillsdale College, engage in a thought-provoking discussion about the Declaration of Independence and its lasting impact on American society. As the nation recently celebrated Independence Day, the conversation serves as a timely reminder of the principles that founded the United States. The episode begins with a reflection on the brilliance of the Declaration, described by Dr. Arnn as a "philosophic, political, theological masterpiece." He highlights the intellectual influences that shaped Thomas Jefferson's writing, noting that Jefferson drew from the ideas of great thinkers such as Plato, Aristotle, and John Locke. This rich philosophical background laid the groundwork for a document that would not only declare independence but also articulate the values of liberty and equality that define America. One of the key themes discussed is the evolution of religious freedom in America. Dr. Arnn explains how early settlers sought religious conformity, yet over time, they recognized the necessity of allowing diverse beliefs to flourish. This journey towards understanding the importance of religious freedom is a testament to the evolving nature of American society. As the conversation shifts to the Civil War, Levin and Arnn examine Abraham Lincoln's reliance on the Declaration of Independence to frame the moral argument against slavery. Lincoln's ability to connect the principles of the Declaration to the struggle for freedom and equality underscores the document's enduring relevance. Dr. Arnn emphasizes that Lincoln viewed the Declaration as the foundation of American identity, a perspective that resonates deeply in contemporary discussions about liberty and justice. The episode also addresses the challenges posed by modern progressivism. Levin and Arnn critique how some contemporary interpretations of the Declaration seek to distort its original meaning, arguing for a return to the foundational principles that have guided the nation. They discuss the dangers of viewing the Declaration as merely a historical artifact rather than a living document that continues to inspire and challenge Americans today.Listeners will come away from this episode with a deeper appreciation for the Declaration of Independence, not just as a historical document, but as a vital part of the American ethos. The insights shared by Levin and Arnn encourage us to reflect on our nation's founding principles and consider how they apply to the challenges we face in the present day. 7/10/25 - Power and Ideology: The Radical Shift in American Courts

On Thursday’s Mark Levin Show, lower federal courts are ignoring Supreme Court rulings, with judges defying the Constitution and law on immigration. In LA, a judge rules that ICE roundups are racist, alleging indiscriminate arrests of brown-skinned people at Home Depots, car washes, farms, etc., due to ethnicity and a 3,000-daily quota. In addition, in New Hampshire, a judge upholds birthright citizenship via national injunction, citing long-standing practice over constitutional analysis. The media ignore this, while actions persist. The judges have changed, not the Constitution. Also, President Trump has made enormous progress domestically and internationally, but institutions are being turned against Americans. Democrats will inevitably win elections and use the permanent government, courts, and administrative state to try to permanently embed their ideology, making it irreversible. Zohran Mamdani’s Stalinist Islamist fusion of ideologies has overtaken parts of Europe and is now infiltrating the U.S., funded by entities like Qatar, Hamas, Iran, and Communist China. Later, socialism is an economic ideology from Marxism, which is a broader life ideology encompassing socialism but extending to cultural, social, and political transformation. The modern activists and professors are unoriginal Karl Marx wannabes who regurgitate ideas from Marx, Hegel, and Rousseau. Thery reject individual liberty and free will as divisive and weak, favoring instead class unity and collective power. There is a comprehensive war on civil society, culture, and America's foundations—targeting family, economy, and liberty—rooted in deadly, anti-human Marxist principles that promote genocide and centralized power.  Afterward, there is a vile and destructive element within the Republican Party. Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene is undermining Trump and introducing amendments removing $500 million in military aid to Israel from the National Defense Authorization Act.  Finally, Mahmoud Khalil filed a $20 million claim against the Trump administration. Only in America does a pro Hamas protestor like this turnaround and bring a lawsuit when he should never have been here in the first place. David Schoen calls in to explain that Khalil is 100% deportable under U.S. Code sections 1227 and 1182 for endorsing and supporting Hamas. Learn more about your ad choices. 7/9/25 - The Trump-Russia Probe: Unraveling the Dishonesty

On Wednesday’s Mark Levin Show, WJNO’s Brian Mudd fills in for Mark. Will we finally see accountability for James Comey, John Brennan, and James Clapper? CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred Brennan and Comey to the FBI for potential criminal prosecution. Accountability is important to prevent future misconduct, but if there were a trial, it would occur in Washington, D.C. As John Durham learned, there was no way to get an honest D.C. jury. Also, former White House physician Dr. Kevin O'Connor invoked his Fifth Amendment rights and remained silent during a House Oversight Committee interview, refusing to answer questions, including whether he was asked to lie about President Biden's health or if he believed Biden was unfit for duty. O'Connor's refusal to answer seems to show that he was in on the cover-up. Later, during the Biden administration, 59% of jobs (7.9 million) went to U.S.-born workers, while 41% (5.5 million) went to foreign-born workers, including many illegal immigrants. In the first five months of the Trump administration in 2025, 985,000 jobs were added, with a net decline of 735,000 foreign-born workers, resulting in 1.7 million more U.S.-born workers employed. This suggests U.S.-born workers are filling jobs previously held by immigrants, with significant self-deportation likely contributing, as deportations are minimal. Finally, President Trump is the second most efficient U.S. president, behind only FDR, for rapidly advancing his second-term agenda. In roughly 170 days, he signed 170 executive orders, 44 memoranda, 71 proclamations, and five laws, including the One Big Beautiful Bill. Despite a narrow congressional majority, he made the Tax Cut and Jobs Act permanent and introduced 27 tax code changes, retroactive to January 1, 2025, saving taxpayers money through deductions. His speed and success are historically remarkable. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

7/8/25 - Politics Amidst Tragedy: Heroes and Hypocrisy in Texas

On Tuesday’s Mark Levin Show, the Texas flood has caused immense heartbreak, with over 100 dead and more than 160 missing. Among the tragic stories are two young sisters, aged 13 and 11, found drowned but holding hands. Mother Nature can be a monster. Also, President Trump has had enough of Putin. Putin is a genocidal maniac responsible for slaughtering Ukrainian civilians, but there are some in Fake MAGA who root for Russia. Trump has stated bluntly that he won’t tolerate Putin’s actions any longer. Later, there’s been a lot of buzz about Jeffrey Epstein and an alleged "list" of people tied to his crimes, but it’s all speculation. The FBI has investigated, but no major new revelations have been confirmed. Social media keeps the topic alive with conspiracy theories. In addition, the Supreme Court, in an 8-1 decision, upheld Trump’s plan to reduce the federal workforce, overturning a Ninth Circuit ruling. The order affirmed the president’s authority to manage the executive branch without congressional approval, citing separation of powers.  Afterward, the welfare state's growth, seen as new constitutional rights, obscures increasing control and regulation, failing to deliver promised equity. This strengthens the ruling class, diminishes individual and societal rights, and erodes compromise, unlike the Founders’ positive power approach, which supports liberty and peaceful resolution. 7/7/25 - Camp Mystic Catastrophe: When Tragedy Meets Political Opportunism

On Monday’s Mark Levin Show, the catastrophic flash flooding along the Guadalupe River in Central Texas over the weekend claimed at least 91 lives, with around 20 people still missing. The disaster struck Kerr County, particularly devastating Camp Mystic, an all-girls Christian summer camp, where 27 campers and counselors, including young teens and the camp director, perished while trying to save others.  It’s disgusting that the media and Democrats immediately politicize the event, blaming climate change or budget cuts. Also, there’s a fake MAGA faction within conservatism that harbors dangerous ideologies, including affinities for Hitler sympathizers and antisemitic rhetoric. Darryl Cooper promotes revisionist history, such as portraying Churchill as a villain and Hitler as misunderstood. Later, the big, beautiful bill is not perfect, but it’s pretty good. Republicans didn’t have enough votes to cut anymore. Democrats are trying to tell you there are Medicaid cuts. No, it’s cutting off people who shouldn’t be getting Medicaid. A Convention of States can fix systemic spending issues. Afterward, a district judge in Boston issued a temporary restraining order blocking the defunding of Planned Parenthood as part of the big, beautiful bill President Trump signed. This ruling, which contradicts a Supreme Court decision limiting nationwide injunctions by lower courts, violates constitutional separation of powers. Congress and the president, as elected branches, have the authority to defund organizations, not a district judge.   Finally, FBI Director Kash Patel, Deputy Director Dan Bongino, and Attorney General Pam Bondi aren’t covering up a Jeffrey Epstein "client list" after a DOJ-FBI memo denied its existence and reaffirmed Epstein's suicide. These three have integrity and lack a motive for a cover-up. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

The Best Of Mark Levin - 7/5/25

This week on the Mark Levin Show, there is this Marxist-Islamist movement infiltrating U.S. institutions, especially the Democratic Party. ‘On Power’ is a unique educational tool on these threats and it explores the ideological threats of Marxism and Islamism to American liberty, rights, sovereignty, and faith. It delves into the historical, philosophical, and political contexts of these issues, contrasting the Judeo-Christian belief system with Marxist-Islamist ideologies. It’s time for a Levin surge to tell your member of Congress to vote yes for the big, beautiful bill. Yes, there are certain issues that matter to us all that are not addressed as we would wish, but there are many very important provisions in this bill that must be enacted from tax cuts and more resources for detaining and deporting criminal illegal aliens! There is a miniscule majority in the House. If there was a larger majority the outcome might be different, but IF is not reality. The economy is strong with robust job growth, low unemployment, minimal inflation, and declining prices for gas, food, and housing. The big, beautiful bill, now passed, has significant tax cuts and include more border security with increased ICE funding. There’s a lot more to do but we should take a victory lap. 7/4/25 - Happy Independence Day

On Friday’s Mark Levin Show, we bring you the best of Mark Levin on the forth of July! There is this Marxist-Islamist movement infiltrating U.S. institutions, especially the Democratic Party. Also, David Trulio, President and CEO of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute calls in to announce Mark’s ‘On Power’ book signing, lecture and dinner on August 17, 2025 at the Reagan Library. Later, Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee for mayor of New York City, is a Marxist and an Islamist who supports Hamas slogans, the BDS movement, and holds anti-Semitic views, though he reportedly denies these claims. If voted Mayor of NYC he will cause New York City's decline, with good people leaving and radical Islamists arriving.  Mamdani’s positions, including his criticism of Israel and Marxist beliefs, are incompatible with American values and pose a threat to New York City, particularly given its large Jewish population. Mamdani’s nomination reflects a broader strategy by Islamists to infiltrate American institutions. We need to confront these ideologies directly. Finally,  there were two big Supreme Court cases. In a 6-3 Supreme Court decision written by Justice Barrett, the court ruled against universal injunctions, asserting federal courts lack authority to broadly oversee the executive branch. Barrett’s opinion emphasizes courts must stay within Congress-granted powers, preventing judicial overreach that could undermine the presidency and constitutional framework. Justice Jackson’s dissent is radical. The ruling protects the democratic processes. In addition, there was a 6-3 decision written by Justice Alito, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of parents in Montgomery County, Maryland, who challenged the school board's policy of mandating LGBTQ and related curricula in elementary schools without informing parents or allowing them to opt out. This decision reinforces protections for religious freedom and parental authority. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

7/3/25 - From Minutemen to Modern Day: The Spirit of Independence

On Thursday’s Mark Levin Show, the economy is strong with robust job growth, low unemployment, minimal inflation, and declining prices for gas, food, and housing. The big, beautiful bill, now passed, has significant tax cuts and include more border security with increased ICE funding. There’s a lot more to do but we should take a victory lap. Also, the Battle of Lexington and Concord, fought on April 19, 1775, marked the start of the American Revolutionary War. This battle, sparked by the "shot heard 'round the world," ignited the American fight for independence and demonstrated the colonists' resolve against British rule. The American Revolutionary War also included key events like the Battle of Bunker Hill, where American militia, led by Dr. Joseph Warren, faced British forces. On Bunker Hill, colonists initially repelled attacks but retreated after exhausting gunpowder. Warren, a prominent Boston doctor and revolutionary, stayed, fought, and was killed, later identified by Paul Revere through dental work. The Declaration of Independence (July 4, 1776) formalized the ongoing war, expressing colonial resolve. Many are unaware of these events and their significance to the nation's identity. Later, ‘On Power’ explains that positive power is rooted in the sovereignty of God and the people and prioritizes the well-being of individuals over rulers. It underscores that a moral society is grounded in God-given truths, natural law, and unalienable rights, transcending any ruling class. An individual’s life philosophy, shaped by practices, values, beliefs, and faith, significantly influences their role in society. Faith is essential to positive power, fostering virtuous societies, yet it can be misused by despotic regimes to justify brutality, highlighting its dual potential. Learn more about your ad choices. 7/2/25 - The Big, Beautiful Bill: Why We Can’t Afford to Wait

On Wednesday’s Mark Levin Show, it’s time for a Levin surge to tell your member of Congress to vote yes for the big, beautiful bill. Yes, there are certain issues that matter to us all that are not addressed as we would wish, but there are many very important provisions in this bill that must be enacted from tax cuts and more resources for detaining and deporting criminal illegal aliens! There is a meniscal majority in the House. If there was a larger majority the outcome might be different, but IF is not reality. In ‘On Power’ negative power is maintained through manipulative communication techniques like deception, fearmongering, and intimidation, designed to suppress independent thought and arouse prejudice. This approach aims to control populations by undermining morality and open democratic societies, denying citizens the information needed for informed decisions. Such language seeks to incite destructive actions that serve the demagogue’s goals, corrupting the legitimate consent of the governed. This is exactly what’s going on today with Democrats such as Rep Hakeem Jeffries, Rep Nancy Pelosi and Zohran Mamdani. The Democrat party sounds like a Stalinist party. Later, the district attorney is incompetent and immoral for striking a plea deal that allows Bryan Kohberger to live, despite the defense’s claims of innocence and attempts to distract from the evidence. It’s unjust that taxpayers must fund Kohberger’s life in prison while good people lost their lives too soon. The legal system’s handling of this case was utterly immoral. Also, in Democracy in America, Alexis de Tocqueville warns that America’s democracy could falter under the weight of a vast administrative state. He describes this state as an overreaching, paternalistic power that, while mild and providential, seeks to manage every aspect of citizens’ lives—security, needs, pleasures, and property. We see this happening in NYC. Finally, Rep Jim Jordan calls in to explain that the big, beautiful bill is as good as it gets. You know this is a good bill because Democrats hate it.  This bill empowers Americans through tax cuts, including eliminating taxes on tips, promoting school choice, and implementing work requirements for welfare recipients.  This bill strengthens border security with more ICE agents, detention spaces, and funding for the wall.
