The Oklahoma Sooners jumped four spots to No. 7 overall in the Week 5 Associated Press Top 25 College Football Poll following their 24-17 win against the Auburn Tigers at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on Saturday (September 21).

The Sooners, who ranked No. 11 overall in Week 4, returned to the top 10 for the first time since their 7-0 start in 2023. Oklahoma captured its second ranked win four games into the 2025 season, having previously defeated the then-No. 15 Michigan Wolverines, 24-13, in Week 2.

The Miami Hurricanes moved up two spots to No. 2 overall, behind only the idle defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes, following their 26-7 win against the Florida Gators. The Penn State Nittany Lions, who were also on a bye week, dropped one spot to No. 3 overall.
