Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders is implementing merit based pay increases for state employees. The governor announced that state workers who met or exceeded expectations over the past year based on recent performance evaluations will receive pay raises. Those who received a three on their evaluation will receive a 1% salary increase, while employees who received a four will get a 3% base raise. The raises will only apply to state employees who have worked in the executive branch for at least a year, and who have worked at their current executive department since January 2nd of this year.
