A US Border Patrol unit is joining the search for the former Arkansas police chief who escaped from prison last month. A Border Patrol Tactical Unit from the Rio Grande Valley Sector has been deployed to help find Grant Hardin. Hardin escaped from a Calico Rock prison on May 25th by disguising himself as a law enforcement officer. The 56-year-old was serving time for murder and rape. A combined reward of $25,000 is being offered by the FBI and U.S. Marshals for information that leads to Hardin's capture.
