Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders is proposing pay increases for some state employees. The governor spoke on Tuesday about the measure that would raise pay for roughly 14-thousand state employees that are below the labor market rate. Employees affected would include those who work in state law enforcement, corrections officers, social services employees and nurses. The effort is part of the Arkansas Forward initiative to modernize and improve service quality in the state.
