The National Weather Service is confirming that and EF-1 tornado touched down Thursday morning in Prairie Grove with estimated maximum winds at 100-miles-per-hour. The community received significant damage from strong storms that swept through the southern part of the city. A camper was reported to have flipped upside down and residents reported roof damage. Other areas that saw damage include the Sundowner Ranch neighborhood and the city's aquatic and baseball parks. A disaster emergency declaration was signed Thursday to provide crews to assist with equipment and storm damage. One minor injury was reported.
