Governor Hutchinson Calls End To COVID-19 State Of Emergency in Arkansas

During a press briefing, Governor Hutchinson said that the 14 month Public Health Emergency declaration will be coming to an end on May 30, 2021.

Hutchinson said that the primary reason for this cancellation is that, "everybody in Arkansas knows what to do... It is not an emergency, it is a maintenance of effort in terms of our vaccines and managing our pandemic."

He also reminded people that we are still in a pandemic, and that this does not "change the fact that we still have the COVID-19 virus in our community (and) that we still need to get these vaccines out."
