Teacher Suspended For Making 5-Year-Old Dig Through Toilet With Bare Hands

A Kentucky mother is livid after learning that her five-year-old son's teacher forced him to dig through a poop-filled toilet with his bare hands. Ashley Murry told KTHV that she was shocked when he told her what happened after he clogged a toilet at Crystal Hill Elementary School.

"He just came to me and said, 'She made me get my boo boo out with my bare hands in the toilet.' I'm like, 'are you serious?' He kept saying it and telling everybody, and I know when he's lying," Murry explained.

"You want a child to put their hand in there physically and clean out the commode- no no no no no. He's not a janitor, he's not a custodian, he's not maintenance, no, not at all," Ashley's mother Tami told KARK.

Murry reached out to the school's principal about the incident and was then contacted by the teacher.

Murry said that he was not satisfied with the teacher's explanation for what happened.

"She got on the phone with me, and she said she didn't have an explanation, she just knew she was wrong. But she stated to the principal that she was trying to teach how not to stop up the toilet," said Ashley.

The school district has placed the teacher on administrative leave, but Murry wants to see her fired.

"She needs to be terminated. She does not need to be teaching in any school district. She does not need to be around kids. Her license needs to be taken," said Murry.

Murry said that her son was embarrassed and humiliated by his teacher and that she has spoken to a lawyer about the situation.
