Arkansas Reports Over 1000 New COVID-19 Cases In Last 24 Hours

During his press release today, Governor Hutchinson announced that we saw a spike of 1013 new cases of COVID-19 with 6 additional hospitalizations and 6 additional deaths. Also during the press conference, the Governor, along with Dr. Romero, discussed the breakdown of victims who are in hospitals as well as the number of active cases in the community as well as the correctional facilities across the state.

According to Dr. Romero, there were 1,013 new cases in Arkansas with 1,008 in the community and 5 in correctional facilities. He also mentioned that there are 7,009 currently active cases which were broken down as 146 from nursing homes, 869 from correctional facilites, and 5094 community cases.
