International Arrest Warrant Issued For Wife Of US Diplomat In Fatal Crash

Interpol issued a red notice for the wife of an American diplomat who is accused of killing a British teenager in a car accident in August. Anne Sacoolas, 42, was charged by British authorities after she killed 19-year-old Harry Dunn while driving on the wrong side of the road.

Sacoolas left the U.K. following the incident and claimed diplomatic immunity, while the United States refused to extradite her to the U.K. to face criminal charges.

Sacoolas now faces arrest if she leaves the United States. The Northamptonshire Police informed Dunn's parents about the international arrest warrant in an email, telling them that "should [Sacoolas] leave the USA the wanted circulations should be enacted."

If convicted in the U.K., Sacoolas faces up to 14 years behind bars.
