Shutdown Could Keep Trump From Davos Economic Forum

The government shutdown might keep President Donald Trump from attending the World Economic Forum in Davos.  Trump is scheduled to speak near the end of the elite gathering that runs from Tuesday through Friday.  But if the shutdown drags on, Trump's plans for Switzerland could be scrapped.  Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin was scheduled to leave Washington today with a large delegation of administration heavyweights.  But that's now on hold.

The Senate is scheduled to vote this afternoon on another proposal to end the shutdown.
