Multiple People Injured In New York Cosmetics Plant Explosion

Police now say at least 33 people are hurt, including seven firefighters, following an explosion this morning at a cosmetics plant in New York's Hudson Valley region.  Officials say the explosion triggered a fire, which has been sending black smoke billowing from the Verla International plant in New Windsor in Orange County.

The smell from the fire at the building on Temple Hill Road is also a concern and Hazmat crews are also on scene.  Officials are ordering residents in the area to shelter in place and shut their windows because of the smoke.
