Listen to Katy Perry on iHeartRadio | Listen to Sara Bareilles on iHeartRadio

(Yahoo!) - If there was any question as to whether or not there was residual tension between Katy Perry and Sara Bareilles over their very similar sounding singles, it was all put to rest Wednesday night at the Hollywood Bowl.

For the #WeCanSurvive cancer benefit at the Hollywood Bowl, Katy brought Sara out on stage to sing her empowerment anthem, alongside the night's other headliners Ellie Goulding, Tegan & Sara, Kacey Musgraves, and Bonnie McKee. Earlier in the night, Sara closed her set by singing "Brave."

When "Roar," Katy's lead single from new album Prism, came out in August, many pointed out that it sounded oddly similar to "Brave," Sara's lead single that came out in April from her new album "The Blessed Unrest." The comparison spawned a number of online parody comparisons (this one was always our favorite).

For the record, both women have previously said multiple times that there has never been any bad blood between them. In fact, they feel it's been a made up issue, stirred up by zealous fans and the media.

"Katy's a friend of mine and we've known each other a really long time, so she even texted me about it and we went back and forth," Sara told a radio station in August. "The shame that I feel that's happened is that it's become a drama. It's putting this negative spin on two artists that are choosing to share positive messages."

"If I'm not mad I don't know why anybody else is upset. I'm like, 'Relax, let's just celebrate that we can be out there and encouraging people to, like, feel strong and empowered,'" she added.
